Sioux Falls, South Dakota

After leaving Sioux City, we drove North about an hour towards Sioux Falls. Here, we finished up a lot of busy-work tasks related to our move, including finalizing our domicile stuff, getting the final paperwork and payments in place for vehicle registrations, and getting our South Dakota driver's licenses!

While we were in town, we stayed at the KOA on the north side of town. It was close to the interstate, but a nice park with spread-out sites (we were in a "Deluxe" site with patio and firepit, which was great!).

The second day in town we decided to head over to Falls Park, located apparently off of every single exit in Sioux Falls according to the interstate signs.

It was rainy, but that ended up being perfect as there were no crowds which made for a relaxing time.

We also went to the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls, which was a lot fun.  The weather was perfect, and it wasn't very crowded (and it was very affordable compared to other Zoos we have been to!)

There was a very strange bear that was either very hungry or very into dancing.

While in town, I went out for several runs along the levee (which was right across the street from our KOA), and also did a big loop around the city on the Sioux Falls Bike Trail Loop, which was a ton of fun! My son and I also did a kayak float for a few miles down the river towards downtown.
